One of our treasures: Dinghy built by Alfred Leask age 12 The original Rakiura Museum was built in 1959 with extensions added in 1987. These additions doubled our exhibition space and provided much needed storage and work areas. A new Heritage and Information Centre building is planned for the future and when completed will provide us with the best possible conditions to care for our Collection and Taonga. |
